The High Commission of Sierra Leone in Nigeria, joined Brigadier General S.D. Ngauja to celebrate the International Cultural Festival at the National Defence College Nigeria
Diplomatic and auxiliary staff of the Sierra Leone High Commission in the Federal Republic of Nigeria joined Brigadier General S.D. Ngauja on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, to celebrate the Nigerian National Defence College (NDC) Course-32 International Day at the NDC premises in Abuja.
The NDC Course 32 International Cultural Festival is organized for military officers from 20 countries pursuing courses at the College in Abuja. Brigadier General S.D. Ngauja is one of the course participants representing the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces.
The festival is part of the College’s Academic Programme designed to enhance the bond between Nigeria and the various countries on the course.
The celebration was colourful, bringing together people with friends of diverse cultural backgrounds to connect, interact, and showcase their cultural values and heritage.
The mission of the NDC is “to develop future strategic leaders equipped with the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to navigate a dynamic defence and security environment.”
The event featured displays of Sierra Leone’s cultural heritage, artefacts, past heroes, and major iconic infrastructures.
Participating countries also presented their best delicacies, with Sierra Leone’s cassava leaf, groundnut soup, and jollof rice receiving high ratings among the guests
