Sierra Leone High Commissioner to Nigeria Present letters of Credence to H.E. President Patrice Talon

The Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria also accredited to the Republic of Benin has on Thursday 10th November, 2022 presented his letters of credence to His Excellency Patrice Talon, President of the Republic of Benin.

Presenting his letters of credence to President Patrice Talon, at the ‘Palais de la Marina’ in Cotonouto, H. E. Rupert Davies expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception accorded him by the government of the Republic of Benin.

High Commissioner Davies also conveyed a special message to President Patrice Talon on behalf of President Julius Maada Bio and the people of the Republic of Sierra Leone in a bid to maintain existing bilateral relations.

H. E. Rupert Davies thanked President Talon and his Government for providing a friendly environment for the protection and safety of Sierra Leoneans residing in Benin.

On his part, His Excellency President Talon congratulated High Commissioner Davies on his appointment as High Commissioner by President Julius Maada Bio.

H. E. President Talon furthered that there are opportunities for Sierra Leone and the Republic of Benin to explore the existing good relations and bring about mutual benefits to the two countries.

The President stated that working together and developing a road map for South/South Corporation will concretize diplomatic ties and prosperity for the member countries.

High Commissioner Rupert Davies was among nineteen (19) other Ambassadors that presented letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Benin H. E. Patrice Talon.
