Fatmata Locosie takes over as new Financial Attaché in Nigeria
The Sierra Leone High Commission in Nigeria has received Mrs. Fatmata Locosie as the new Financial Attaché replacing Mr. Abu Bakarr Sesay who is going on retirement.
Mrs. Locosie was formally introduced to diplomatic and local staff of the High Commission at a formal ceremony on Friday 19th November, 2022 at the Sierra Leone High commission premise in Abuja, Nigeria.
Welcoming the incoming Financial Attaché to the High Commission, His Excellency’s the Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria Rupert, Sydney Dowu Davies on behalf of all Staff welcomed Mrs. Fatmata Locosie and assured her of a friendly working environment.
“As exchequer, the High Commission rely on your expertise in making sure the finances of the High Commission are prudently managed”, the High Commissioner Davies said to the new financial Attaché
To the outgoing Financial, High Commissioner Davies expressed his sincere appreciation on behalf of all staff for the diligent service that he has offered during his four years of tenure at the High Commission in Nigeria
” We appreciate your good work, even though you have retired but you are not tired. I am sure that with your reservoir of knowledge in financial best practices, you can serve in some other places after here, bon voyage, said High Commissioner Rupert Davies.
By way of appreciating him for his commitment and dedicated service, High Commissioner Davies, the Deputy High Commissioner and all diplomatic Staff presented a plaque to the outgoing Financial Attache Mr. Abu Bakarr Sesay.
Responding, Mr. Sesay appreciated the High Commissioner and all for awarding him a plaque in recognition of his role played as a staff of the High Commission.
Mr. Sesay’s successor Mrs. Fatmata Locosie is also highly experienced with vast knowledge in financial management discipline. She has worked at the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources where she also created an indelible mark in the management of the ministry’s finances.
Mrs. Locosie before her new posting was among other hardworking staff in the Accountant General’s Office where she served for five.
In her brief statement, Mrs. Locosie committed a harmonious working relationship in a bid to produce a desired outcome.
Present at the ceremony were, the Deputy High Commissioner Miss Anna Betty Moussa, the First Secretary/Acting Head of Chancery Mrs. Marian Jalloh, the Defense Attache Alhajl Musa Mohamed Gbassa, the Second Secretary Madan Beatrice Koko Kallay and the Third Secretary Madam Marian Content.
In another separate meeting, Mrs. Locosie was also formally introduced to local staff of the Sierra Leone High Commission in Abuja by the First Secretary/ Acting Head of Chancery Mrs. Marian Jalloh.
