President Bio launches historic Campaign Manifesto in Daru.
President Julius Maada Bio on Tuesday, 23rd May, 2023, made a historic landmark in Daru, Jawie Chiefdom, Kailahun District, by launching his political Manifesto for the June 24th election.
In his statement, to the people of Jawie and to all Kailahun District stakeholders, President Bio first recognized and appreciated them for their overwhelming support to him and the SLPP in the 2018 elections.
“This is my home, politically I have a strong base in Jawie and the rest of Kailahun district. I am happy and proud to appreciate you”, president Bio stated.
The President’s manifesto will generally focus on development, although he has placed agriculture at the top of his development priorities, in a determined bid to end hunger in Sierra Leone which clearly resonates with the nation and is in tandem with Goal-2 of the United Nations Sustainable Development
President Bio told his large audience that the only way to make his development dreams achievable is for all registered voters to be ready to come out in massive numbers and cast their votes for him and the SLPP.
He encouraged everyone to be united and put aside all other grievances and to treat the coming elections very seriously.
He further gave strong assurances to his listeners that their votes will be protected.
The SLPP district Chairman Jusu Jaka Ngobeh appealed to the people of constituency 007 to put behind all other issues especially those related to the awarding of symbols and support the party candidate Hon Quinton Salia Konneh to win the MP seat in the coming election.
He assured president Bio that Kailahun district will deliver 95% votes for him in the June 24th election.
The First Lady Mrs. Dr. Fatima Bio outlined some of the developmental achievements of President Bio and the SLPP. especially policies and programmes that support and improve the lives of women and girls.
She appealed to all women and girls within the voting age bracket to vote for President Bio for him to continue to support women and girls in Sierra Leone.
The programme was Chaired by the National Chairman Dr. Prince Harding who is also the National Campaign Chairman for SLPP in the June 2023 election.
Other key speakers included Hon. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella whose NGC party has pitched tent with the SLPP and are working together to ensure a NO RUN OFF election victory for HE President Julius Maada Bio.
Constituency 007 that was experiencing some hiccups after the symbol award process has now become politically stable and peaceful, following recent peace overtures implemented by the members of Peace and Reconciliation Committee.
