Bolivian Ambassador visits High Commissioner Rupert Davies and bids farewell

The Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo, has on Monday 7th, November, 2022 bid farewell to High Commissioner Rupert Davies, Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Both Ambassador David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo and High Commissioner Rupert Davies discussed issues of mutual interest, including the establishment and signing of future bilateral corporations between the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

During their engagement, Ambassador David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo informed his counterpart, High Commissioner Davies, that his duty of diplomatic tour in Nigeria was at an end and that his visit was made to convey that message.

Ambassador David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo also said that invitations have been extended to the Sierra Leone Minister of Foreign Affairs and the minister of Tourism to visit the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, adding that during their visit existing diplomatic ties between Sierra Leone and Venezuela would be strengthened and enhanced.

On his part, High Commissioner Davies hailed the efforts of Ambassador David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo and expressed the Republic of Sierra Leone government’s commitment to maintain standing diplomatic cooperations with the in-coming Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This he said will help build on the remarkable achievements of Ambassador David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo in enhancing the relations between the two countries.
