The outgoing High Commissioner Gembeh went on to say that although the police have their rules of engagement in dealing with the myriad security problems yet these rules have to be informed by the international law and cooperation that nation states have entered into. At the end of his presentation, the High Commissioner encouraged the law enforcement officers to serve their countries diligently in the dispensation of their duties in protecting lives and properties including securing their personal safety, mindful of the fact that home is home and that the lives of their own families is also important.
