Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Tourism Participates in Richard George Foundation Gala and Fundraising Event in Abuja

Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Tourism & Cultural Affairs, *Dr. Kadijatu Grace Ahene Kamara, actively participated in a Gala and Fundraising event organized by the *Richard George Foundation at the Wells Carlton Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria, on September 30, 2023.

The event brought together individuals from various walks of life, including the board of trustees of the Foundation.

The Richard George Foundation (RGF) is a non-governmental organization with the vision of nurturing young and talented Africans who will become catalysts for positive change in their respective communities.

In an exclusive conversation, Dr. Kadijatu Kamara highlighted the alignment between the core principles of the Richard George Foundation, which include entrepreneurship, empowerment for young graduates, and skills development, with the development agenda of President Julius Maada Bio’s New Direction administration, particularly the focus on Human Capital Development. She expressed unwavering commitment to collaborate with organizations that share the vision of advancing “Human Capital Development.”

Additionally, the Richard George Foundation inaugurated its digital learning platform on Friday, serving as a knowledge hub for young people. This platform aims to empower young, talented graduates by providing them with skills and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The event was also graced by the presence of Madam Kankay Yumkella from Sierra Leone, a key partner of the Richard George Foundation. Further support was extended by the Deputy High Commissioner of the Sierra Leone High Commission in Nigeria, Anna Betty Moussa, who attended to show her solidarity with the Deputy Minister of Tourism and in support of the event.
